With Our Heroes on Rosh Hashanah 5787
As we approach the High Holidays, we naturally turn to reflection, gratitude, and the values that define us as a People. This year, as we prepare our own homes and selves for Rosh Hashanah, our hearts are filled with a deep, humbling admiration for a specific group of heroes among us: our reserve soldiers and their families.
These men -- Torah scholars, teachers, doctors, lawyers, businessmen and workers -- are entering consecutive rounds of miluim (reserve duty). They are everyday leaders who choose, time and again, to put their lives on Hold to defend our Nation.
Equally heroic are their wives and children. While our soldiers guard the borders, these families anchor the home front with immense courage, grace, and resilience.
They cherish the privilege to serve. In return, we cherish the opportunity and responsibility to show them they are never alone.
To express our community's deep gratitude and to fuel their incredible strength, HATZADIK.ORG -- in proud partnership with Torah U’Gvura -- is honoring these families through a major new initiative alongside our ongoing programs.
We are proud to announce our sponsorship of the prestigious weekly produce distribution for the advanced Torah Scholar-Warriors at the outstanding Yeshivat Mercaz HaRav Kook.
Through an incredible collaboration with Leket Israel, thousands of shekels worth of premium, high-quality fruits and vegetables are received every week at Mercaz HaRav. While the produce is fully gifted, the logistics of managing a massive, dignified distribution event require operational backing -- funding the coordinators, supervisors, and teams who make this beautiful tribute run seamlessly.
