Am Yisrael’s Soldier-Scholars

What do you see in the photo above?

Allow me to share what I see.

I see one of Am Yisrael’s Soldier-Scholars — some call them “Scholar-Warriors” — deep in advanced Torah study.

These are young men who dedicate themselves to Torah day and night and serve on the front lines of the IDF when called. In the Yeshiva, they generate spiritual protection as they prepare to teach and lead. In uniform, they defend Am Yisrael while providing spiritual guidance to their fellow soldiers.

Notice the firearm on the table beside him.

Many of these reservists voluntarily carry their weapons even when off-duty, ready to protect their people at any moment.

The logo in the upper right belongs to Torah u’Gvura (“Torah and Heroism”), a new organization I helped establish in Israel. HaTzadik.Org (Keren HaTzadik USA) proudly funds Torah u’Gvura’s projects, standing with Religious Zionist reservists committed to both Torah scholarship and IDF service, supporting their families, and strengthening their marriages.

After hundreds of days of reserve duty and harsh combat experiences, the stress on marriages is real. HaTzadik.Org, together with Torah u’Gvura, provides healing marriage workshops and retreats, helping these families recover and thrive.

We also support Soldier-Scholars who need financial assistance, supplementing their purchase of food and household essentials so they can continue their Torah studies and professional growth. Through our online service, we provide nutritious fresh produce and essential supplies at steep discounts (— no junk food!)

I regularly receive heartfelt notes from these couples, expressing gratitude for recognizing their devotion to Torah and their sacrifice.
